French football star Kylian Mbappe has inked a significant four-year deal with Real Madrid, set to commence from July 1, 2024, once the La Liga transfer window opens. According to BBC Sports’ Guillem Balague, the agreement, made on a free transfer, will activate following the expiration of Mbappe’s current contract with Paris Saint Germain on June 30, 2024.

Reports suggest Mbappe, 25, reached a verbal understanding with Real Madrid as early as February, subsequently notifying PSG of his intention to depart on a free transfer at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season. With his lifelong aspiration to play for Real Madrid, Mbappe is anticipated to be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabéu ahead of Euro 2024.

Real Madrid is expected to officially confirm the signing before the week’s end. The deal will see Mbappe earn an estimated 15 million euros annually until 2029, coupled with a share of his image rights and an impressive signing-on bonus of 150 million euros, to be disbursed over five years.

Since his arrival at PSG from Monaco in 2017, Mbappe, a FIFA World Cup winner in 2018, has been instrumental, securing the French Ligue 1 title on multiple occasions, with only one exception. His tenure at PSG has been marked by remarkable success, contributing a club-record 256 goals across all competitions.
