A Lil Baby Concert in Memphis Marred by Shooting: One Injured.

Lil Baby concert at the FedExForum in Memphis took a tragic turn on the night of September 7th when a shooting incident occurred, leaving one man critically injured. As of our latest report, the identity of the shooter remains unknown.

According to a statement from the Memphis Police Department, officers swiftly responded to reports of the shooting at 191 Beale Street around 10:23 p.m. The victim was found with life-threatening injuries and promptly transported to Regional One Health for medical attention.

Witnesses at the event described the harrowing moments when the sound of gunfire pierced through the music.

In an interview with WREG 3, concert attendee Clarissa Johnson recounted the sudden fear that gripped the venue. She said, “I heard a pop. I’m not sure what happened, but I had a suite, so I told all my crew, ‘Get down.’ So we evacuated. Once we evacuated, did a head count. I’m still not sure what happened. It’s not so sweet tonight, though.”

Authorities have confirmed that the shooting incident occurred during the early stages of Lil Baby’s performance. This incident took place as part of his “It’s Only Us Tour,” featuring other artists like Rylo Rodriguez, Gloss Up, and GloRilla.

In the wake of the shooting, the scheduled show at KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, KY, slated for today (September 8th), was canceled, although no further details have been provided. However, Lil Baby’s performance on Saturday night (September 9th) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville appears to be still on the schedule.

In an August interview with XXL, Lil Baby emphasized the importance of touring. He expressed, “Touring is super important to me. At first, I didn’t really understand it, but as I continue to tour and my tours continue to get bigger and bigger, and it’s more profitable and gives my fans a better experience, touring is definitely a main part that you don’t want to miss. But a lot of artists do miss it, I see. Touring is definitely one of those steps you don’t want to miss.”
