Lil Uzi Vert is not a devil worshiper.
Earlier this month, during his performance at Rolling Loud California, the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper debuted a controversial new song in which he alludes to Satan while referencing his girlfriend, JT of City Girls.
“I make a City Girl believe in Satan,” rapped Uzi, who performed while wearing a pentagram belt, which is often associated with Satanism.

He did, however, face backlash on social media, including from Summer Walker, who accused him of promoting Satanic worship.
“lol….. i’m genuinely curious, have these people ever seen or heard of a demon?” she inquired. “Or it’s just a trend, because if you had it, you’d stop playing…nothing there’s funny or cute about it.”

Uzi has now responded. In an interview with TMZ, he stated that the lyrics were not literal and that he was only speaking metaphorically.
“Not Satan, but I basically make a girl do whatever I say,” he explained, wearing a pentagram symbol on his beanie.
JT, on the other hand, didn’t take the lyrics too seriously. “She didn’t give it much thought… “She understands exactly what I mean,” Uzi added.
He also dismissed the criticism, saying he doesn’t pay attention to it. “I really don’t even pay attention to them even saying that because I just say whatever I want in my songs. It’s the same as my freedom of expression.”

Uzi went on to say that he comes from a “truly religious family” and had no intention of offending anyone. “I kinda say whatever I want to say,” he explained. “Even if I offend people, it is not on purpose. They have the option to turn it off if they don’t like it.”
When asked if he believes in Satan, he smirked and said, “Umm, no.”
Uzi confirmed that the song will be included in his upcoming Pink Tape, which will be released in the next two months.
