Former Real Madrid star Marcelo has made some bold predictions for the upcoming UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

The clash, set to take place at Wembley Stadium on June 1, 2024, promises to be a thrilling encounter between two powerhouse teams in European football.

Both teams have faced tough opposition en route to the final, showcasing their strength and resilience throughout the tournament. Dortmund’s victories over the likes of Paris Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid, while Real Madrid’s triumphs against Bayern Munich and Manchester City, highlight their impressive journey to the final.

Despite the competitive nature of the match-up, many fans and pundits alike are tipping Real Madrid as the favorites to emerge victorious. Their recent track record against Dortmund, boasting two wins and two draws in their last four encounters, adds weight to this belief.

Marcelo, who graced the field for Real Madrid from 2007 to 2022, has voiced his optimism for a comfortable 3-0 win for his former team in the final. He even went a step further by predicting the goal scorers – Vinicius, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric – to each find the back of the net.

“UCL final? I want a calm 3-0 win,” Marcelo expressed, as reported by Madrid Xtra. “Goals from Kroos, Modric, and Vini.”

Should Real Madrid secure victory against Borussia Dortmund, they will etch their name in history as the first club to claim 15 Champions League titles, solidifying their status as one of Europe’s footballing powerhouses.
