Former Egyptian football star Mohamed Aboutrika has voiced his belief that Mohamed Salah will renew his contract with Liverpool. According to Naija News, Salah’s current deal with Liverpool is set to expire in June, but he has reportedly received an offer for an extension.
In a conversation with Bein Sport, Aboutrika stressed that Liverpool would face serious challenges in maintaining their league position without Salah’s contributions this season.
Aboutrika praised Salah’s consistent performance under Arne Slot’s management, noting that the Egyptian forward continues to deliver year after year.
“Regardless of what people say about his contract, he lets his feet do the talking,” Aboutrika stated. “I always prefer football players who let their performance speak louder than their words. Let others talk – your numbers and performances speak for themselves. Salah continues to break records, and that puts more pressure on Liverpool’s management and owners to secure his future.”
He added, “On a personal level, Salah pays attention to every detail on and off the field. He continues to offer something new each year. His 13 goals in the Premier League have contributed 11 points to Liverpool’s season. Without him, I believe Liverpool wouldn’t have been at the top.”
