Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has shut down claims that she’s been blocking or sabotaging other female artists in the music industry.

In a recent episode of the Offair Show, the singer addressed long-standing rumours — including past allegations from Kenyan artist Victoria Kimani, who once hinted that Tiwa may have stopped her from performing at certain events.

Tiwa made it clear that such accusations are baseless and challenged anyone making them to come forward with proof.

“If anyone has heard that I blocked their opportunities, mention names,” she said. “Maybe some promoters are using my name as an excuse not to book multiple women. Don’t just assume I’m the reason.”

The “Somebody’s Son” crooner went on to suggest that the real issue may lie with show organisers who prefer not to feature too many female acts on one lineup, often using her name as a cover story.

In the same interview, Tiwa reflected on her journey in the industry, admitting that she doesn’t feel she’s received the recognition she truly deserves.

When asked if she feels appreciated, Tiwa replied, “No, I don’t. I’m sorry, I don’t.”

Known for her resilience, stage presence, and consistent chart-topping hits, Tiwa continues to stand as one of the most influential figures in Afrobeats — a position she’s earned through talent, persistence, and breaking barriers in a male-dominated space.
