NDC Places Edgar Asamoah Boateng on Administrative Leave Over Primary Injunction Move
Edgar Asamoah Boateng, a member of the NDC from the Abuakwa North Constituency, has been placed on administrative leave.
The party claims that Mr. Boateng sought a court injunction to stop the party from having both the presidential and parliamentary primaries, not just in the Abuakwa North seat but in all 275 constituencies. This led to the party’s suspension, the party claims.

Due to what Mr. Boaateng claimed to be a lack of a voters’ register provided to his hopefuls, he requested a high court injunction on the May 13 presidential and parliamentary primaries of the NDC.
The NDC told Mr. Boateng in a letter that was signed by the party’s general secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, that his actions violated Article 49 (1) (d) of the Party’s constitution.
