The Department Of State Security Service (DSS) have arrested members of  the National Emergency Management Agency (insert)

in Nasarawa  state for allegedly stealing palliative materials meant for the public.

The arrested individuals who are members of Nassarawa State Emergency Management Agency an extension of NEMA  were set to have been arrested in a popular market in the state capital Lafia as well as their accomplices.

The spokesman of the secret police side , Peter Ifunanya  confirmed the development while addressing journalist  in Abuja

He stated that some of this material diverted and ready for illegal sale by the suspect had been  recovered ,

He also outlined the need for public compliance and information giving in other to ensure that the body carries out it’s function effectively

He said: “The Department of State Services (DSS) had received reports from some State Governments relating to the diversion or sale of palliatives meant for their citizens.

“Consequently, the Service undertook investigations in that regard and has recovered some of the items as well as apprehended the suspects.”

He,  in a related development also asserted that another suspect has already been arrested for diverting the palliatives .
