The “Masked Singer” host revealed on Friday that he had contracted pneumonia while fighting his continuing lupus by posting pictures of himself in a hospital bed.

I guess I’m not Superman, after all, I vowed to myself that I would never return to this location. But this is an excellent reminder to look after yourself first because if you don’t, you won’t be able to look after everyone else, he added in the caption.

Cannon, who received a lupus diagnosis ten years ago, declared he wasn’t asking for pity. “Don’t worry, though; all I need is some sound rest and I’ll be back on the path to becoming stronger than before. I don’t need any good wishes or prayers… I can manage pneumonia since it’s only pneumonia.

The “Wild ‘N Out” tour of Cannon made a visit to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday night. Crazy thing is, we were just performing at Madison Square Garden to a sold-out crowd in front of thousands of people, and now I’m by myself in a tiny hospital room, he reflected. The emotional roller coaster that is life! #LupusWarrior.”

For lupus, Cannon has been in and out of the hospital. After being admitted to the hospital for renal failure in 2012, he first talked openly about his struggle with the autoimmune disease.

At the time, he told PEOPLE, “I feel fortunate to be alive. “I don’t know [what would have occurred]if it hadn’t been found.”

Cannon and Abby De La Rosa recently welcomed their 11th child, and they are expecting their 12th. His late son Zen’s mother, Alyssa Scott, is expecting their second child, who is due the following year.

Cannon published a video earlier this week in which he made fun of his enormous family. “Thanks to me, the globe now has 8 billion people, but my job’s not done,” he added. “It’s almost the holidays.”
