Nicki Minaj, an American rapper, is facing a lawsuit for alleged unpaid bills related to custom jewelry.
Roseark Jewellery store, located in West Hollywood, has taken legal action against Nicki, claiming that she caused damage to the jewellery they had loaned her.
In response, Nicki’s attorney has stated that she is not responsible for the alleged damages and asserts that the jewellery is simply seeking publicity.
According to the lawsuit, Nicki’s stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, entered into a contract with Roseark Jewellery Store on behalf of the rapper. The contract stipulated that the store would lend jewellery to Nicki for a public appearance.
The contract also outlined that Brett was obligated to return the jewellery within a week and assume responsibility for any damages that might occur while the jewellery was under his care.
However, it is alleged that Nicki’s stylist failed to return 66 pieces of jewellery within the agreed-upon timeframe. Moreover, when the jewellery was eventually returned, there were noticeable damages to a pair of earrings and a leaf ring.
A source close to Nicki has informed TMZ that all items were returned on time as promised. The source further claims that the jeweller only raised concerns about a missing stone after having possession of the items for some time.
