The Nigeria Police Force has debunked a viral “wanted” poster featuring Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, clarifying that the content is fake.

The poster, which claimed Iyabo was wanted by the authorities and offered a reward for information about her, began making rounds on social media earlier this week.

In a statement released on its official Facebook page Thursday morning, the police described the poster as false and misleading. The Force emphasized that it did not originate from them and was never published on any of their verified platforms.

They urged the public to disregard the rumor, warning against the spread of such misinformation, and reminded Nigerians to always confirm updates through official police channels.

The statement read:
“FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading, and was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard and stop spreading fake news. Verify only from official NPF channels.”

Meanwhile, in a separate development, social media influencer Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala shared a heartwarming video on Snapchat, appreciating her mother, Iyabo Ojo, for being supportive during her pregnancy. The clip captured the actress lovingly preparing a meal for her daughter.
