Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has won the presidential election in his home state of Adamawa.

The former vice president received 417,611 votes, while his closest rival in the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, received 182,881 votes, and the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, received 105,648 votes.

Prof. Mohammed Mele, the state collation officer and deputy vice chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, announced the results. Hudu Yunusa is the state’s INEC returning officer.
