Obi Aguocha, the Labour Party candidate who won the Kwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency on Saturday, has dedicated his victory to God.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Aguocha attributed the victory to God and the people’s determination to establish a new order.
With over 13,000 votes, Aguocha defeated the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Prof. Uma Kalu Oke, the Returning Officer, announced the results, saying Aguocha of the LP received 48,199 votes to defeat Orji, who received 35,196 votes.
Orji is the son of Theodore Ahamefule Orji, the senator representing Abia Central in the National Assembly, who did not run for re-election after serving eight years in the Red Chamber.
He extended his hands of friendship to all in order to bring development to the constituency.
Meanwhile, attempts to contact Rt. Hon. Orji was futile, and he could not be reached for comment.
