The national collation center in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has yet to begin announcing results this morning.
Officials say five states are now ready to announce results, but they will wait until 13:00 GMT (14:00 local time) to allow for more results to be ready.
Results from 14 of the country’s 36 states were released on Monday.
Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling APC party, is leading with slightly more than 44% of the votes cast. His main rival, PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar, has nearly 33% of the vote.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party has nearly 18% after defeating Mr. Tinubu in the largest city, Lagos.
