Nigerian afro-soul singer Issac Geralds recently ended his attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest consecutive hours of singing due to a medical emergency, according to a statement released on his Instagram. Isaac aimed to surpass the existing record of 105 hours set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare in 2012 by singing continuously for 110 hours. Unfortunately, he had to stop after 98 hours and 26 minutes on advice from medical professionals.

The initiative was not only about setting a record but also aimed to raise $500,000 for children with autism, a cause close to Isaac’s heart. Despite falling short of the target, the singer’s team expressed gratitude to his fans and supporters for their understanding and encouragement during this challenging time.

Isaac Geralds, known for his participation in MTN Project Fame Season 4 and his album “Love and Heartbreak,” featuring artists like Tiwa Savage and Sound Sultan, continues to be committed to his advocacy efforts. Updates on his recovery and future endeavors will follow as they become available.

In recent years, several Nigerians, including Hilda Baci for cooking and Chancellor Ahaghotu for painting, have made attempts or set world records, showcasing Nigeria’s talent and determination on the global stage.
