Clem Ohameze has set the record straight after false reports about his health began making rounds online.
The veteran actor appeared in a video over the weekend, where he firmly dismissed claims that he has been struggling with a stroke for over twenty years and abandoned by his children. He described the viral story as completely untrue and malicious.
According to him, both the police and the DSS have been alerted to the situation, which he considers an act of cybercrime. He expressed disappointment that such damaging rumors were spread without anyone reaching out to confirm the facts.
The post in question had alleged that only his daughter had been by his side while his sons turned their backs on him. It even included fabricated quotes suggesting he had spoken about being neglected by his children.
Ohameze, however, made it clear that the words were entirely invented. “The other time, it was news that I had died. Now it’s that I’ve been battling a stroke. Who exactly did I grant an interview to? Where did this come from? People just want to use another person’s name for cheap traffic,” he said.
Visibly upset, the actor explained how the rumors forced him to call his children to clear things up. “Why would anyone want to smear my name this way? I’ve worked too hard in my life to be dragged down by lies,” he added.
For him, the matter is not just about reputation—it’s about the emotional toll such falsehoods can have.
