Nollywood has lost a beloved figure with the passing of veteran actor Emmanuel France. Known for his memorable performances in films like Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director, France was a celebrated figure in the Nigerian film industry.

The news of his death was shared by Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe on Instagram. Ogedengbe expressed his sorrow and fondly remembered their time working together. “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,” Ogedengbe wrote. “He was one of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006, and together we worked on Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”

At this time, the cause of France’s death remains unconfirmed. His passing comes shortly after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry.
