Nollywood actress and film producer Sharon Okpamen has tragically passed away just days after giving birth to her second child. Okpamen had shared the joyous news of her baby’s arrival on Instagram.
Fellow film producer Stanely Ontop confirmed the sad news on social media, writing, “Nollywood actress and producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed away. This is a heartbreaking loss for Nollywood and the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, a talented filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, has left a significant gap in our hearts.”
Ontop continued, “May her soul rest in peace. @sharonokpamen It can only get better.”
Reports from an Instagram user suggest that Sharon’s death was due to complications related to childbirth.
