Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of Ghana’s opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to be skeptical of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 slogan, “It is possible,” asserting that the ruling party cannot fulfill its promises.
Addressing female media professionals in Accra, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang criticized the NPP’s performance, highlighting recent issues like the protests by pensioner bondholders at the Finance Ministry seeking their payments.
“At a time when pensioners are picketing at the Finance Ministry and facing financial hardships, it’s crucial to scrutinize the NPP’s slogan. They didn’t foresee these struggles, but they became a reality. So, when you hear ‘it is possible,’ think about what it truly means,” she said.
