Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, won by a landslide in Enugu state’s south-eastern region.

He received 428,640 votes, compared to 4,772 for Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC and 15,749 for Atiku Abubakar of the opposition PDP.

This is Obi’s first officially announced victory, as he seeks to challenge the APC and PDP’s traditional two-party dominance.
