Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo assumes the role of Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), succeeding Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang, who was relieved of his duties by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In a directive issued by Nana Bediatuo Asante, the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Tenkorang was instructed to transfer his responsibilities to Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo by Monday, April 15, 2024. The decision followed the termination of Dr. Tenkorang’s appointment effective April 15, 2024, as outlined in his appointment letter dated 1st July 2019.
The directive emphasized the need for a seamless transition, urging Dr. Tenkorang to hand over his office to Mr. Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo and to collect any terminal benefits he may be entitled to. The President expressed gratitude for Dr. Tenkorang’s service to the nation and extended best wishes for the future.
