Nigerian socialite Madame Mystique recently shared insights into her breakup with Nigerian singer Asake. According to her, the decision stemmed from Asake’s desire to succumb to negative influences.

In response to a fan’s inquiry on her Instagram page about the breakup, Madame Mystique stated, “Cuz he wanted to let the devil use him.”

When another fan questioned her decision to walk away instead of safeguarding Asake from negativity, Mystique clarified that Asake is a devout man of faith and emphasized that the “devil” was merely a deceptive force.

Their rumored relationship had sparked attention last year due to affectionate photos and videos shared online. However, reports in March 2024 suggested that the relationship had ended.

In a separate revelation, Asake disclosed his experience of ending a relationship upon achieving fame. Renowned for his hit track “Lonely at the Top,” Asake shared his story of offering a substantial sum to his girlfriend after receiving his first significant paycheck. However, she declined the gesture, deeming it insufficient compared to his newfound success.

Perplexed by her reaction, especially considering her modest background, Asake sought counsel from Olamide, who advised him to end the relationship and support his mother with the funds instead. Asake followed this advice, and his mother’s subsequent financial independence brought him peace of mind.

Asake reflected on the incident, expressing gratitude for his decision and the positive impact it had on his family’s well-being.
