A report from a panel charged with determining whether President Cyril Ramaphosa should be impeached for allegedly covering up a crime has been given to the speaker of the South African parliament.
The panel looked into the allegations surrounding a heist that allegedly occurred at his own farm, Phala Phala, back in February 2020.
During a live broadcast on Wednesday morning, it gave Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula its report.
According to local media reports, Ms. Mapisa-Nqakula stated that the report would be made public on December 6.
Any impropriety is denied by President Ramaphosa. Prior to this, he had “pledged his complete cooperation to the investigation” and expressed his happiness at being held accountable.
