Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes shared the first photo of their 2-month-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III on Feb. 13.
Patrick, Brittany, Bronze, and the couple’s 23-month-old daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes posed in front of the castle at Disneyland to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory, as seen in the photo. “Welcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze, and Sterling!” they captioned their joint Instagram.
It was, indeed, the family’s happiest day. Sterling wore silver Minnie Mouse ears during the outing, and Patrick rode on a float in a Disney parade.
The four-person family has had an eventful week. Patrick did, after all, face the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 Super Bowl on Feb. 12. Not only did the Kansas City Chiefs win, but Patrick became the first Black quarterback in NFL history to win more than one Super Bowl. Brittany and their two children were also in Arizona to show their support.
“The most difficult part was packing all of their belongings and making sure we had everything we needed for them for a week,” she told USA Today on February 11. “Having two kids is a lot of luggage, and it’s very stressful to make sure you don’t forget anything.”
It was a far cry from the 2021 Super Bowl, which Brittany attended while pregnant with Sterling.
“Way more responsibilities and thoughts,” the 27-year-old said. “Making sure they’re fed, napping, and adjusting to the time change. Having to plan ahead of time and constantly think ahead.”
But, as she pointed out, having them there was a given.
“This is an incredible achievement for Patrick, and we knew we wanted both kids there to witness it and support their Dad,” she explained. “Overwhelming, perhaps, but that’s pretty typical of our lives in general! He wants his kids to be with him as much as possible!”
