So far, things in Kaduna have been calm as polling units begin to close and results are collected and distributed to wards.

Voting, however, continues in many parts of this northern state as people wait in line to cast their ballots.

Many polling locations were delayed due to the late arrival of critical electoral material.

Thus far, just three security incidents have been formally recorded.

One such occurrence occurred in the state capital’s southern section, when Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (Bvas) devices and voting boxes were stolen.

Voter turnout, particularly among women, is relatively low.

More over four million people are registered to vote in Kaduna state.
