Nigerian music icon and creative force, Obafemi Lasode, has passed away at the age of 70. The news was shared by former PMAN president Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, who paid tribute to Lasode’s legacy as a musician, film director, producer, and playwright.

Born in December 1955, Lasode was known for his deep contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry, leaving behind a body of work that spanned decades and inspired many.

In a completely different tone, the internet was buzzing after rapper Speed Darlington responded to comments made by fellow artist CDQ. During a podcast interview, CDQ bluntly stated he wouldn’t collaborate with Speed Darlington under any circumstances—not even for $100 billion.

Speed Darlington didn’t hold back in his response. He dismissed the remark and claimed he didn’t even know who CDQ was, throwing shade at CDQ’s career and financial standing. He added that anyone he doesn’t recognize holds no weight in his world, brushing the issue off with laughter and bold words.
