Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has recently spoken out about receiving death threats. During an Instagram live session, she appealed for prayers and support from her fans.

Alaseyori revealed that she has been facing online harassment for the past six months. Despite the negativity, she remains resolute and warns those wishing harm upon her that they might be inviting trouble upon themselves.

She shared, “I refuse to live in fear. I believe I will not meet an untimely end. It’s become a sort of taboo. I see the harsh comments and curses in my DMs and I choose to smile. Those who wish me harm are, in essence, inviting misfortune upon themselves.”

She continued, “If you wish death upon me, you might as well be inviting it for yourself. I urge anyone spreading negativity or ill-will towards me to reconsider. Even if such thoughts come from a large group or even from those who consider themselves prophetic, the consequences will catch up with them. This world can be incredibly harsh and painful.”

Alaseyori concluded by asking for continued prayers from her supporters. “Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, whether you see me on stage or not. I truly need your support.”
