If waiting to become King doesn’t work out for Prince George, he might want to consider a career in the arts.
On Christmas Day, Prince William and Kate Middleton proudly shared a watercolor painting done by the 9-year-old royal via the Kensington Palace official Twitter account. The impressive portrait depicted a reindeer in the snow with two red robins.

Of course, King Charles III, George’s grandfather, is a talented amateur painter best known for his watercolors.
The King frequently paints royal residences such as his country home Highgrove and Scotland’s Balmoral Castle. In October, a print of Charles’ painting of Balmoral sold at auction for an impressive $6,500, despite its estimated value of $675.
Charles signed and dated the painting, which came with a certificate, in pencil.
Earlier this year, 79 of King Charles’ watercolor paintings were on display at The Garrison Chapel in London, marking the first comprehensive exhibition of his work. It featured outdoor scenes from Scotland, France, and Africa.
The royal family has had a busy holiday season due to the controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
The family attended a carol service honoring the late Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey. The Princess of Wales organized it.
“Her Majesty held Christmas close to her heart, as a time that brought people together and reminded us of the importance of faith, friendship, and family, as well as the importance of empathy and compassion,” Middleton said in a teaser video before the service.
The royal family also attended the holiday service at Norfolk’s Church of St. Mary Magdalene. It was the first time Prince Louis, William and Kate’s youngest son, had attended the annual event.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, who is seven, and Prince Louis, who is four.
