On Christmas Day, the 4-year-old royal was photographed tugging on Kate Middleton’s arm in a valiant attempt to get her to stop talking and move it along as his mother greeted well-wishers outside St. Mary Magdalene’s church.

The royal family’s traditional holiday church service was attended for the first time by the Prince and Princess of Wales’ youngest child, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte.

Although Louis appeared to attend the service last year, COVID-19 precautions prevented the royals from walking to the service and greeting members of the public who were lined up outside.

Louis is a family cutup who stole the show at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

During the Trooping the Colour ceremony, the youngster made a series of amusing faces on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

When he was caught putting his hand over his mother’s mouth while watching the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, he displayed some decidedly un-regal but entirely age-appropriate behavior.

He also got into an argument with cousin Lena Tindall, who flatly refused to share candy with him.
William and Kate appear to have acknowledged the Jubilee’s breakout star.

“We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…,” they wrote in an Instagram roundup of photos from the four days of festivities.

This year, Louis was not the only junior royal to make his first Christmas walk.

Zara and Mike Tindall attended the service and walkabout with their daughters, Mia and Lena, but their 1-year-old son, Lucas, stayed at home.

Princess Beatrice was accompanied by her stepson, Christopher Woolf, and husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, while their 1-year-old daughter, Sienna, remained at home. Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s sister, was also present, along with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. They also abandoned their 1-year-old son August at home.
It’s a bittersweet Christmas for the royal family, as it’s the first since Queen Elizabeth II died in September at the age of 96.
