Congratulations to Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, who has become a grandmother for the first time.

Louis Ducruet, the 58-year-old’s son, and his four-year-wife, Marie Chevallier, have welcomed a daughter.

Prince Albert, her brother, made the exciting announcement on Tuesday at the Auditorium Rainier III, where he was presenting diplomas at the Monégasque Red Cross graduation ceremony.

According to a local news outlet, he stated, “My nephew Louis Ducruet and his wife Marie have the joy of being parents of a little girl.” Monaco-Matin

The baby, whose name has yet to be revealed, was reportedly born on April 4 in Monaco.

Louis and Marie, both 29, announced their pregnancy in November with a cute Instagram post of the two of them with their dog, who wore a bandanna around his neck that read “soon to be big brother.”

“An adventure is about to begin,” they captioned the post.

Marie revealed the baby’s gender in December with photos and video from what appeared to be a gender reveal party, captioned “It’s a GIRL!!!”

Stéphanie has three children, the eldest of which is Louis. Daniel Ducruet (58), Stephanie’s former bodyguard, married her in a protocol-breaking civil wedding at the palace in 1995, is his father.

They had already welcomed their two children, Louis and Pauline (28), who is now a fashion designer.
Stéphanie and Daniel divorced in 1996, amid allegations that he had an affair with Muriel “Fili” Mol-Houteman, Miss Bare Breasts of Belgium 1995.

Stéphanie also has a younger child, Camille Gottlieb (23), whose father is her former security chief, Jean Raymond Gottlieb (55).

Fortunately, her son’s love life has been far less turbulent than her own. When they were both university students, he met Marie in a nightclub in Cannes. Their first meeting was described as “love at first sight.”

On July 27, 2019, they married in Monaco’s Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate, where Louis’ grandparents, Prince Rainier II and American actress Grace Kelly, married in 1956.
