Celebrated Nollywood actor, Prince Eke, marked the eighth anniversary of his harrowing escape from kidnappers in Rivers State, reflecting on the challenges he faced during his ordeal.
Taking to his Instagram page, he revealed the disheartening reality of being accused by both family and colleagues of fabricating his own kidnapping for financial gain. He described the false narratives spread by those close to him as one of the most challenging aspects of his entire experience, even comparing it to the hellish conditions he endured during his captivity.
Sharing his personal journey, Prince Eke used his story as a poignant example, encouraging his admirers and followers to value and pray for a long life. He emphasized the unfortunate truth that, in the event of one’s demise, loved ones may be quick to cast aspersions.
In his own words:
“Today marks exactly 8 years since I was kidnapped in Nigeria, along Ubima road in Rivers state. I went through an unimaginable ordeal. Yet, the most painful part was the baseless accusations from many of my colleagues and friends, alleging that I staged the kidnapping for financial gain.
Let this be a lesson: cherish life and pray for its longevity, because in death, those you thought were close may utter regrettable words about you. Grateful for the precious gift of life and grace!” 🙏✨
