Nigerian music sensation Timaya recently praised Rema, calling him the new leader of the next generation of Nigerian musicians. Speaking in an interview with Cool FM, Timaya expressed his admiration for Rema’s unique style and international appeal.

Timaya, known for his hit song “Dem Mama,” described Rema as a standout figure among his peers, citing his impeccable fashion sense and musical talent. “I’m a fan of Rema. Among all the young artists, he’s at the top. Rema is their leader. Have you seen his abs and dress sense? It’s crazy!” Timaya said. “He’s intentional with his music, his stage presence is incredible, and he’s just a fine young guy.”

While Timaya praised the younger generation of artists, he also opened up about his own life choices. In a recent conversation with Naija FM, Timaya discussed why he’s remained single despite his career success. He revealed that marriage has never been something he’s felt drawn to. “I’ve never been a married guy, but it could change in the future. Marriage ‘dey craze,’” he explained. “If I married today, would I be able to get out? In all my past relationships, I was the one who left because I don’t like stress.”

Timaya emphasized his desire for freedom and his dislike for unnecessary drama in relationships. He also mentioned the importance of communication, stating, “If there’s a problem, let’s talk about it. I don’t like going to bed with issues unresolved.”

On fatherhood, Timaya shared that while his children live with their respective mothers, they maintain a strong bond. He acknowledged that fatherhood can be stressful but also immensely rewarding. Timaya enjoys spending quality time with his kids, who often visit him for extended stays.
