After more than six years, Rihanna will make her much-awaited musical comeback on Friday as a featured artist on the soundtrack of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Marvel Studios shared a clip of the film’s logo before highlighting the “R” in “Forever” and adding the release date beneath it. This appeared to be a tease for new music from Rihanna. 10.28.22. The emoji for eyes was used as the tweet’s caption.

 

 

 

According to reports, Rihanna has recorded two songs for the upcoming November 11 release of the 2018 superhero blockbuster sequel. Wakanda Forever will be accompanied by an album “inspired by,” which will be published on Rihanna’s record label Westbury Road via Roc Nation/Def Jam, according to HITS Daily Double.

 

After almost seven years, Rihanna would be releasing her debut single on her own. She most recently made a prominent guest appearance on the 2020 PartyNextDoor track “Believe It.” 2016 saw the release of Anti, her most recent album.

 

 

Setting the stage for her much-anticipated comeback, Rihanna. With the release of her ninth studio album just around the corner, she will perform as the halftime show headliner at the 2023 Super Bowl.

 

On Nov. 9, her Savage x Fenty fashion show will make a fourth appearance on Amazon Prime Video with performances by Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell.

“Lift Me Up” is scheduled to be released on Friday, according to Rihanna. The song is the lead single from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album and pays homage to the late Chadwick Boseman.

Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Oscar-winner Ludwig Göransson all contributed to the song’s writing, which they also produced.

“I wanted to compose something that depicted a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life after speaking with Ryan and hearing his perspective for the song and the movie. I made an effort to picture how it would feel to sing to them right now and let them know how much I miss them, said Tems. “To hear Rihanna perform this song is a huge pleasure because she has been an inspiration to me.”

 

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, the soundtrack, will be out on November 4.
