Hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed on suicide watch at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. The 54-year-old music mogul faces multiple allegations, including transporting individuals for prostitution, following federal raids on his Los Angeles and Miami properties six months ago.
According to insiders, Combs is struggling to cope with his arrest, prompting authorities to put him under precautionary supervision. The U.S. Department of Justice defines suicide watch as close monitoring for inmates who may be at risk, ensuring their safety through frequent observation.
Despite his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, confirming that Combs intends to plead not guilty and will aggressively fight for his freedom, bail and house arrest were denied by Judge Robyn Tarnofsky in Manhattan.
The indictment against Combs outlines disturbing allegations, ranging from physical and sexual abuse to operating a criminal enterprise tied to sex trafficking, drug crimes, and more. His staff is also accused of covering up these activities.
While several individuals have come forward in recent years with similar claims of abuse, Combs has consistently denied the accusations, maintaining his innocence. His legal team remains hopeful as they prepare to contest the charges.
