The Bridgerton star has officially joined the cast of the much-anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, standing alongside returning legends Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Also new to the lineup are Kenneth Branagh and Lucy Liu, adding even more star power to the mix.
Known for her standout roles in Bridgerton, The Little Mermaid, and Sex Education, Ashley shared a cheeky nod to her casting with a red heel emoji on Instagram — subtle, but fans caught the hint.
The sequel revisits Miranda Priestly — still as sharp, stylish, and intimidating as ever — now dealing with the modern chaos of a declining print industry. Meanwhile, Emily Charlton, no longer just a former assistant, has climbed her way up to a top role in luxury advertising. Sparks are bound to fly when their worlds collide again, this time in a high-stakes battle for power and influence.
Director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are both back at the helm, with producers Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt returning to keep the film’s original spirit alive.
Filming began on June 30, and the fashion-fueled drama is set to hit screens on May 1, 2026. With Simone Ashley in the mix, it’s safe to say the runway just got even more exciting.
