Well, this isn’t your usual football headline—Snoop Dogg is now part of Swansea City’s ownership team.

Yep, the legendary rapper has joined forces with the Welsh football club, stepping into a whole new game. He’s not alone, either. Also on board is Croatian midfield maestro and former Real Madrid star Luka Modrić, who recently signed with AC Milan.

Snoop’s connection to the club started subtly last week, when he showed up on Swansea’s socials wearing their 2025-26 home kit. Now it’s official: he’s an investor.

His entry into the club’s ownership comes months after American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen took over operations. The hope? That Snoop’s massive global audience—more than 100 million followers—will give Swansea a serious visibility boost as they chase a return to the Premier League, a dream that’s been out of reach since their 2018 relegation.

Speaking on his new role, the rapper shared his excitement:
“My love for football is no secret, but there’s something about Swansea that just hit home for me. This club and this city have heart. They fight from the ground up—like I always have. Being a part of this feels right.”

The club’s current owners seem just as thrilled.
“In true Snoop fashion, this is our next episode,” they joked in a statement. “His reach and energy are a huge asset. From day one, he’s shown real passion for being part of Swansea’s journey.”

They also pointed to the buzz surrounding clubs like Wrexham, which skyrocketed in visibility after Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over. If all goes well, Snoop could help Swansea ride a similar wave.

It’s an unexpected crossover—hip-hop meets South Wales football—but one that just might work. And knowing Snoop, he’s not just here to wear the jersey. He’s here to win.
