The Meta-owned social network claims to be “looking into” the issue, which has led to some users receiving notifications that their accounts have been suspended.

The website outage monitoring service DownDetector claims to have discovered that thousands of customers are impacted. A notification informing certain users that their accounts have been suspended for 30 days has been shown.

We’re aware that some of you are having trouble logging into your Instagram account, according to a tweet from the official Instagram Communications account

“We apologize for the inconvenience and are looking into it.” The business has not yet provided any additional information on what led to the unexpected problem.

Some users who are still allowed to access the platform have reported experiencing sharp declines in the number of their followers when the affected suspended accounts leave the website.

WhatsApp, a rival Meta messaging service, experienced an outage last week that caused it to go offline for almost two hours. Accessing their profiles has been a problem for Instagram users worldwide.
