Up-and-coming musician Nana Yaw, known by his stage name Wyllbee and hailing from Sowutuom, tragically met his end during an incident in Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region. Reports from EDHUB on X detail that Wyllbee had travelled from Accra to Kumasi to spend time with his girlfriend, who was married and living with her in-laws without his knowledge.

According to sources, the family of the deceased stated that Wyllbee had not informed anyone about his trip. Around 1 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, he reportedly went outside to urinate and was confronted by residents of the compound who suspected him of theft. Despite explaining that he was visiting his girlfriend, who denied knowing him to protect her marriage, a heated altercation ensued, leading to a violent assault.

After being informed, his family rushed him to a local hospital, and later transferred him to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for further treatment. Tragically, Wyllbee succumbed to his injuries, devastating his fans and the local community.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing as authorities seek to understand the circumstances that led to this tragic outcome. Friends and family mourn Wyllbee’s untimely death, remembering him as a talented musician whose promising future was cut short in a heartbreaking turn of events.
