Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has sparked concern after claiming he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt early Monday morning.
In a post on X, Darlington shared that the incident took place as he was heading home from a club in Victoria Island, Lagos. The chilling event comes just days after his release from Kuje prison, where he was detained under undisclosed circumstances.
In a video shared on his Instagram, the rapper revealed that unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle, leaving it with several bullet holes. The footage clearly showed the damage to the car’s rear.
Darlington, visibly shaken, expressed his disbelief and frustration, saying, “Long face sent killers my way, and I haven’t even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?”
He further added, “I never said anything, but he’s sending killers. What is he scared of? That means I’m right.” His message has left fans and followers in shock, raising questions about the motive behind the attack.
