Mercy Eke, the winner of the Big Brother Naija ‘PepperDem’ Edition, has announced there will be no ‘All-Stars’ reunion this year. During an Instagram live session, the reality TV star informed her fans that they should not anticipate a reunion for the recent season, where Ilebaye won the grand prize of 120 million Naira.

She said, “Stop dreaming, there will be no ‘All Stars reunion.” However, Mercy did not provide a reason for this decision.

If Mercy’s statement holds true, this would be the first time the organizers of BBNaija have skipped a reunion event following a season that featured housemates from previous editions.

Heritage Bank Closure Affects Mercy Eke

In related news, Mercy Eke has expressed her distress over the shutdown of Heritage Bank. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revoked the bank’s operating license, appointing the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Commission (NDIC) as the liquidator. According to the NDIC, depositors with alternate accounts in other banks will be paid up to ₦5 million using their Bank Verification Number (BVN).

Mercy, who revealed on her social media that she had over N100 million in Heritage Bank, lamented the situation, noting that only N5 million would be paid to customers initially. When questioned by a fan about why she chose Heritage Bank, Mercy explained it was a requirement during her BBNaija season for receiving cash awards from the show’s sponsors.
