SOS, the singer’s first chart-topping album, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 318,000 equivalent album sales in the week of December 15.
The 23-track collection, which includes Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, overtakes Taylor Swift’s Midnights (1.578 million), Harry Styles’ Harry’s House (521,000), Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss (404,000), and Beyoncé’s Renaissance to become the year’s fifth-largest debut (332,000).
With 404.58 million official on-demand streams, SOS is the most streamed R&B album ever, the second most streamed female artist album ever, and the third most streamed album of 2022, after Midnights (250.23 million) and Her Loss (513.56 million).

“Kill Bill” debuted at No. 3 and “Nobody Gets Me” debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively, as songs from the album.
SZA’s breakthrough album Ctrl, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 60,000 units, was released more than five years prior to the release of SOS. After moving 3.9 million equivalent album units, it continued to be on the list for 288 weeks.
Me vs. Myself, the fourth top 10 albums for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, enters the chart at No. 6 with 53,000 equivalent album units.
In other news, Her Loss drops 3-4 and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains drops 1-3 (102,000) in its second week (67,000).
