Taylor Swift has revealed that her 12th studio album is on the way, and she’s calling it The Life of a Showgirl.

The announcement dropped just after midnight on Tuesday through her website and social media. For now, the project is available only for what she playfully described as a “pre pre-order.” Fans who rushed to her online store were greeted with blurred images of vinyl, CDs, and cassette tapes, locked with a sparkling orange graphic. The real cover art, Swift teased, will be revealed later.

One key detail missing? The release date. The site only promises that the album will ship before October 13.

In a video clip posted on Instagram—taken from her appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason—Swift held up the blurred vinyl. “This is my brand-new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” she said with a grin. Travis couldn’t hide his excitement, shouting, “TS12!”

The project will follow last year’s The Tortured Poets Department, which sold a staggering 1.4 million copies on its first day.

Beyond new releases, Swift has spent the past few years re-recording her early albums after a high-profile battle over the rights to her masters. That chapter closed in May when she confirmed she had bought back the rights to her full back catalog.

At 35, Swift’s career shows no signs of slowing. Her record-breaking Eras Tour wrapped up last year after nearly two years on the road, grossing around $2 billion across 149 shows worldwide—the highest-grossing tour in music history. Tickets sold out in minutes and, at times, reached jaw-dropping prices, but millions of fans still showed up for what became a cultural phenomenon.

Now, with The Life of a Showgirl on the horizon, Swift looks ready to add yet another chapter to her legacy.
