Authorities said a woman identified as the wife of a Texas man suspected of killing five people, including a 9-year-old boy, was arrested shortly after midnight on Wednesday for allegedly assisting him in evading capture.

Divimara Lamar Nava, 52, was charged with “hindering the apprehension of a known felon,” a felony, according to a social media statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. According to jail records, she is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Although Nava has been identified as the suspect’s wife, Francisco Oropesa, jail records show that she is “not married.”

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office released a video of Nava’s court appearance on Wednesday. She was being held on a third-degree felony charge of obstructing the capture of a fugitive. Prosecutors claimed that Nava attempted to help Oropesa flee to Mexico.

Oropesa, 38, was apprehended Tuesday around 7 p.m. local time at a home in the Cut and Shoot, Texas, area, following a public tip following a four-day manhunt. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at the home where Oropesa was arrested, and multiple pieces of evidence were recovered.

According to the Associated Press, authorities believe Nava assisted in hiding her husband in the home where he was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, Oropesa was transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged in the shooting deaths of five people. According to jail records, he is currently being held at the San Jacinto County Jail. According to the sheriff, he will be held on a $5 million bond.
