One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year will feature voice work from The Weeknd.
For Avatar: The Way of Water, the singer recorded the song “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).” The grandiose song, which was written by The Weeknd and produced by Swedish House Mafia and Simon Franglen, is featured on the long-awaited soundtrack for James Cameron’s 2009 film.
An excerpt from the movie may be heard in a new teaser before it debuts on December 15. Abel sings, “I believed I could keep you from having to pay for my faults / You give me courage.” I’m with you in either case. Nothing is lost, and there is no more suffering.
Avatar: The Way of Water debuts in theaters on Friday, December 16, more than ten years after the first movie. On December 15 at 12:00 PT, the soundtrack will be made available.
The Weeknd has contributed to many film score albums. He recorded “Often” and “Pray for Me” for the 2015 motion picture Fifty Shades of Grey.
A record-breaking year for The Weeknd. He will resume the world tour in 2019 after wrapping up the first part of his “After Hours Til Dawn” stadium tour. Beginning in the summer of 2019, he has announced dates for Europe and Latin America.
The song “Creepin'” from Metro Boomin’s most recent album Heroes & Villains features him as well.
