Nollywood actor Browny Igboegwu recently called out his colleagues in the movie industry, expressing frustration over the widespread hypocrisy and “fake love” he believes is prevalent in Nollywood.
In a post shared on his Instagram, Browny voiced his displeasure with actors and actresses who publicly celebrate each other while secretly speaking ill of their peers. He criticized the practice as deceitful, comparing it to “broad daylight witchcraft.”
He wrote, “Let’s take it easy with the fake love in Nollywood. One minute, you’re talking badly about a colleague, and the next, you’re posting and celebrating them. This is not genuine. Please, be honest in your dealings with people. Fake love is worse than poison. If you can’t say something good about someone, keep quiet.”
In a separate conversation, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe recently shared her reasons for marrying her husband, Kazim Adeoti, also known as Adekaz. Appearing on the show Nollywood on Radio, Mercy explained that their shared career in the entertainment industry played a significant role in their decision.
Mercy, who announced her marriage to Adekaz in January 2022 as his second wife, mentioned, “One of the main reasons I married him is because we are both in the same industry. Together, we’re building a production empire. I needed someone who understands the industry, and I’m glad we can collaborate. With our combined efforts, the future looks bright.”
