The recently released music video for the track “In My Head,” featuring Tiwa Savage, showcases Timaya’s commitment to staying in the limelight as an A-list artist.

Directed by the talented Director Pink, known for her work on hits like “Men are Crazy” by Simi and Savage, and “Do I” by Phyno and Burna Boy, the video is a vibrant blend of darkness, neon lights, sensuality, and sexuality.

Unlike some other videos that lean heavily into BDSM imagery, “In My Head” takes a more nuanced approach. While there are elements reminiscent of The Weeknd’s “Earned It,” such as nets, thongs, and suggestive scenes, Director Pink brings a fresh perspective.

Rather than depicting women as submissive or restrained, the video portrays them as empowered individuals who choose to engage in BDSM play. Chains are presented as accessories, not restraints, highlighting the idea of choice and agency in sexual exploration.

Throughout the video, Timaya delivers his verses amidst scenes of women dancing and interacting with chains. These women are not portrayed as submissive but rather as active participants in their own pleasure.

The inclusion of Tiwa Savage on the track further emphasizes the theme of female sexual liberation. Together, Timaya and Savage challenge traditional notions of power dynamics in BDSM, promoting a narrative of empowerment and choice.
