Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the former Governor of Ogun state and current senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, expressed his views on the current economic challenges facing Nigerians during his ‘thank you tour’ in Ijebu Ode local government area of the State.

According to Gbenga, Nigerians are grappling with hardships due to the economic situation inherited by President Bola Tinubu from former President Muhammadu Buhari. He acknowledged the ongoing efforts by President Tinubu to address these challenges and find solutions for the nation’s economic well-being.

Gbenga appealed to Nigerians to exhibit understanding and collaborate with Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing the President’s commitment to fostering a more prosperous nation. Despite acknowledging the existing economic difficulties, he assured the people that there is optimism for positive change and improvement in the near future.

In Gbenga’s words, “Really, things might not be so good as we want it, but I want to plead with you my people to show understanding because our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited what we can call a failed economy. All what he is trying to do now is to find solution to the challenges.”

He concluded by assuring the public that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that the country will experience positive developments. Gbenga emphasized the need for the people’s cooperation and confidence in President Tinubu’s efforts, expressing optimism that the nation will soon overcome its current economic challenges.
