President Bola Tinubu has officially launched the emblem and appeal fund for Nigeria’s 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day. Held at the State House’s Council Chamber in Abuja, the event saw President Tinubu honor the Armed Forces, lauding their pivotal role as Nigeria’s frontline defenders.
During the launch, he praised the Armed Forces for their unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity, stability, and security, emphasizing that national peace and progress are impossible without their protection.

The President expressed heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, acknowledging the importance of a safe, threat-free environment that enables citizens to thrive peacefully.
To recognize the dedication of Nigeria’s fallen heroes, the Secretary to the Government, George Akume, announced a donation of N500 million on behalf of the Executive. Senate President Godswill Akpabio also contributed N200 million on behalf of the National Assembly, while Chief of Defense Staff, Christopher Musa, pledged N50 million on behalf of Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetoken.
