Adegboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, claimed that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate in the general elections of 2023, will receive over 1 million votes from Osun.
On Thursday, Oyetola addressed APC youths who had marched in the “Osun Youth March for Tinubu/Shettima 2023” in his campaign office in Osogbo.
To encourage voters to support Tinubu’s candidacy for president in the upcoming general elections, the youngsters organized a walk through the city’s main streets in Osogbo.
Even though the campaign has not even started, the Osun governor expressed amazement at the great number of young people who turned out. He promised that, if won, the APC candidate will lead a government that was favorable to young people.
“I want to appreciate the leadership of the Tinubu supporters,” he remarked. I am confident that Osun will support the APC in 2023 because of your demonstration today. For us, there is absolutely no trembling.
“The Asiwaju (Tinubu) government is the youth government. He is in Nigeria to help the people. He has goals for a number of things, including infrastructure, social development, agriculture, and education. The way he handles insecurity will astound you.
“I am confident that Tinubu would receive over a million votes in Osun. Our campaigns will target young people.
Goke Akinwemimo, the Osun APC youth leader who oversaw the march, spoke earlier and promised to mobilize one million votes for Tinubu in the 2023 election. He also asked party members to put in a lot of effort to see the initiative through to completion.
