Tom Sandoval is relieved to see his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, moving on with her life.
Sandoval was at LAX on Tuesday, where he updated TMZ on Scandoval and discussed Madix’s weekend hookup after she was spotted making out with a new guy while at Coachella.
“I love that,” Sandoval said, adding that he wants his ex to move on. “I do, indeed. I truly believe it.”
When asked how he feels about Madix dating a new man, the TomTom co-owner said he’s thrilled to see her succeed.
“I’m really happy,” he said.
Sandoval’s remarks come after the Vanderpump Rules star and her crew spent the weekend at Indio, California’s annual music festival, where Madix was seen getting close to fitness trainer Daniel Wai.
Madix and Wai went to the Camp Poosh pool party with a group of friends. Wai posted a series of videos on his Instagram Story from their second day in the desert, including a photo of his, Madix’s, and their friends’ shadows, a video of Madix dancing during a nighttime performance, and a photo of them cuddling.
Madix’s weekend of PDA with Wai comes after the end of her relationship with Sandoval due to his affair with their VPR co-star Raquel Leviss.
“Ariana was with Daniel at the Camp Poosh party yesterday around 4:30 p.m. PT,” a festivalgoer told ET. “They stood arm in arm while Ariana waited for her tattoo. Ariana and Daniel appeared to be at ease when she was consulting with the tattoo artist. Dayna Kathan was also with Ariana and supported her decision to get a tattoo. Dayna stood by Ariana’s side.”
According to a source, the couple “met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Mexico,” and “he’s a sweet guy.”
Sandoval and Madix started dating in 2013, and ET confirmed that the Vanderpump Rules co-stars called it quits on March 3, around the same time that news of Sandoval’s months-long affair with Leviss broke.
Sandoval claimed last week that he and Madix ended their relationship on Valentine’s Day before she discovered the infidelity (but not before it began). He explained the confusion as Madix being “fully in denial” about their breakup.
The restauranteur appears to be tired of the drama, telling TMZ on Tuesday that he wishes everyone would forget about Scandoval.
